FROM THE PRESIDENT'S DESK - 22.11.2017
With December only a few days away most people would be winding down for the festive season. Well, most people perhaps but not the hard working members of the Rotary Club of Berwick. This week was perhaps one of the busiest for the Club with members yet again showing their commitment to Rotary, braving high temperatures, all in the spirit of making a difference in our community.
Thank you to all the members were able to assist.

MAKING A DIFFERENCE - BRAD BRATTIN MP
On Wednesday night the Rotary Club of Berwick had the honour to welcome a former Harkaway Primary and Berwick College student and now a Member of the Victorian Legislative Assembly.  Brad Battin has been the Member for Gembrook since 2010.
Brad firmly believes that “family, school and social networks are a vital part of the young person’s reconnection to education and employment”, sentiments that align with the values and goals of Rotary.

MARKET REPORT - 25.11.2017
What a scorcher of a morning we had today. We were greeted with beautiful sunshine and very humid conditions.

Despite the extreme hot and humid weather we had 39 out of the 40 expectant stallholders arrive for the market today with high expectations for the customer turn out.

We had a couple of new stalls join us this month including soy candles and Pomegranate Juice and the return of some old stallholders which included Dulce cakes, Silvan seeds & South Seeds and Candlebright.

CELEBRATIONS THIS WEEK
Special Birthday wishes to Sheeja Amarnath (26/11).
Congratulations to Russell Dunn who was inducted into the Rotary Club of Berwick on the 28th of November 2013. Russell says that his only regret is not to have joined Rotary earlier.
We also remember Past President Mick Morland who was inducted into the Club on the 24th of November 1994. Twenty-three years of service above self.
JOKER'S WILD
All Rotarians in attendance are invited to participate, for a small fee, in the Joker's Wild session at each meeting for a chance to win a cash jackpot by drawing the "Joker" from a deck of cards.

Sandi asked Guest Speaker, Brad Battin MP, to pick out a ticket stub for the holder to take part in choosing from the deck hopefully choosing the Joker.
