Hello,
Congratulations to our newest member inducted this week, Jenny Hart. Jenny has helped on various projects including the St John of God working bees, Rotary Overseas Relocation Playground (RORP), art screens, attended many meetings, social events and we can now call her one of us! Please make Jenny feel welcome into our club, and help her navigate through all the Rotary acronyms!
At the meeting this week we were joined by five members of the Rotaract Club, Mat, Ruby, Blake, Alannah and Sophie. Mat is the incoming president who told us a bit about their club, the projects they have been involved in and have planned for the year. Their club is keen to work along side our members at up coming events and we will look for ways to support their club too.
This week
This week our guest speaker is Gavin Long. Gavin is a local Berwick resident, diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease around 3.5 years ago.
Gavin's talk, 'Chasing the Tiger' will inform us about the challenges of living with Parkinson's, the benefits of exercise and physical movement and about the online support network he has recently started.
