Hello,
This week Gus amazed us with his knowledge of the Argentinian dance – TANGO! Gus talked through the music, the movements, the instruments and the difference between floor dancing and competition dancing. While Gus did not dance himself, he did show some excellent videos of some amazing dancers.
It’s Party Time!!
This week it’s time to party! The Rotary Club of Berwick was chartered on 3 May 1961. So our club is 65 years old, and we would like to celebrate our club members and all the great work we do in the community. There are no formalities, but there will be cake and a champagne tower! Please join us and invite your partner along.
As it is also my 40th birthday this Thursday, there will be a slide show of images of our members when they were all 40 years old! If you haven’t sent through your photos yet, please send it through before Tuesday night.
ANZAC Day
This week we had six members from our club support the Rotary Club of Narre Warren at the ANZAC Day breakfast at Bunjil Place. Thank you to those members who braved the 5 am start. Following the dawn service, Rotarians and volunteers cater for around 200 people for a sit down breakfast as well as the serving sausages to those outside in the plaza.
I also had the honour of laying a wreath at the cenotaph in the Berwick Main Street on behalf of the Rotary Club of Berwick. The weather was beautiful so the main street was full of people attending the march and service.
