President's Ramblings
Hello,

It has been a busy few weeks at Rotary. Firstly, congratulations to our newest Paul Harris Fellow recipient, Eric Boon. Eric has been the go-to guy behind the scenes, possessing the tools and skills to get us out of any problem. Thank you for everything you do for Rotary, and thanks to Wendy, Brendan, Bell and Jess for joining us in celebrating this amazing man!

This week we were entertained by the always impressive David Button in his behind the badge. There certainly was a lot more than just clematis'! Dave talked about family, work, travel, HPV, Rotary and all without Judy needing to correct anything! Well done Dave and thank you for sharing your stories and photos.

On Saturday we had Penny, Tim, Wendy, Di, Geoff, Louise, Louise, Russell, Jenny, and myself join about 15 St John of God staff members and volunteers at the Birthing Kit Packing Event. The day was an absolute success, with 200 kits getting packed in just over an hour! We enjoyed a lovely lunch after the event, we got to talk to lots of people who were interested in hearing more about Rotary. Tracey from the hospital was already talking about doing it again next year. Well done to Penny and Geoff who organise the day and thanks to Dave Button to arranging the collection and delivery of the boxes. These 200 kits will be sent overseas soon to support women to have a safer and more hygienic birth.

This week we are off to Cathie's Lane Receptions in Wantirna for the 41st Berwick College Presentation Balls. We have ten volunteers on each night ready to help out and then enjoy an evening of dinner and dancing. Shout out to our Emcees Isobel and Gary Castricum, thank you for taking on this role for the club.
Thanks,
Jen
