Club Service - A wonderful thing!
Imagine a night where you get to discuss all things related to the health and development of your Rotary Club. A night where you could put your view across and explain how you are going to make your view a reality.

At this weeks meeting, 18 members out of 42 took on this opportunity and it was a wonderful experience. We covered things like
  1. Resuming Face to Face meetings
  2. Creating a COVID Register
  3. Building a new team to take on the Presentation Balls in 2022
  4. Where we are at with Community Events such as Australia Day and Carols by Candlelight
  5. Where we are up to with our current venue
  6. Getting a plan together for Christmas and New Year Celebrations
  7. Getting support for a business community BBQ in December
Club service is an important part of repairing, building and strengthening our Club.
Vax compliance

Posted by Graham Johnstone from an informative zoom meeting chaired by PDG Tim Moore on 4/11/2021.

-A zoom meeting was held on 4/11/21 to discuss Rotary compliance with state laws on double vaccination against COVID 19

- A recording of the meeting will be available on District youtube.

-Compliance is a global situation for everyone applying to employment or event attendance.
.
-Rotary must comply with state government health laws and require all volunteers to be double vaccinated and notified of such prior to the event.

-Non vaccinated can attend meetings by zoom if it is available.

-The District Insurance Officer is in process of writing a proforma guide.

-Current laws may change if there is a change to the "State of Emergency" or state laws.

-The Privacy Act applies to the gathering and holding of information, no member can inquire on privacy details of another member.

-The Club Protection Officer will collect certificate numbers on behalf of the President and store them securely.

-The certificate number is recorded to show that there has been no "ticking of the box" or reliance on the CPO memory.

-A certificate may be sighted only and recorded as such but a member may be excluded from activities if certificate number is declined.

-We need at all times to show to the government authorities that we have reasonably met their requirements including cleaning. Large fines may be imposed on a club, organiser or facility.

It should be noted that recently , the police approached a club at a Bunnings BBQ for proof of compliance.
