Well...what a fantastic time we had at our Changeover, with a few surprises thrown in as well.
Lisa and the team at Lava Cafe were amazing and everyone was raving about the quality and quantity of the meals.
Gary Gastricum was a great MC and kept us all on track. Thank you Gary.
There was a tear in everyone's eyes as Jen spoke about Steve, Georgie and Lochie, and their commitment to Jen, as President and to the Rotary Club of Berwick. They have been 100% behind her in her year of Presidency and we have all loved having our two 'Furture Rotarians' and Steve at meeting during this time.
It was my great pleasure to surprise Jen with a PHF as we all know she is such a deserving recipient.
As we are now fully into Changeover season, we are not going to have a meeting next Wednesday, so hopefully some of you will visit other neighbouring clubs and celebrate their changeovers with them. I think Geoff and I have four Rotary Changeovers to attend in the next few weeks, as well as Michele's changeover for the Inner Wheel Club of Berwick.
At our next few meetings, we have:
Wednesday 8th July - Robin Stewart tell is all about what his club, The Rotary Club of Frankston, is doing at Cameron Corner, with The Wild Desert Project.
Wednesday 15th July - Christmas in July - a social evening at Lava Cafe, for partners and friends. This will be a 2 course set price Christmas Dinner - $40pp
Wednesday 22nd July - Samantha Clarke, Victorian Ambassador with Mercy Ships Australia, will update us on what Mercy Ships are doing at the moment.
Wednesday 29th July - We will need everyone at this meeting, as we will be looking at what the year will look like, what our plans are, what you may like to do in the year ahead and we will also be having an extraordinary general meeting to accept the updated Rotary Club of Berwick Constitution and Rules, which you will receive information about prior to the meeting, and which we need to have approved by a quorum of members.
Hope you enjoyed Changeover as much as we did.
Have a lovely week.
Cheers!
